Fingers Crossed.....

Sooooo....I am in the process of re-reading to make corrections and adding new elements to make the book flow. I am about half way done with that. Then I will have it proof read by a third party. It's always good to have another set of eyes to help you along...I Thank God for those people He has put into place throughout my life to help me along.

I have been in contact with a book reviewer and have explored the idea of self publishing. I am also in the process of contacting publishers and book companies. So I am definately researching all avenues.

I am praying that I can have my book released in the begining of the year...((fingers crossed)).

It is a road filled with many options and I am just taking my time to do the research and pray about my choices. All of this and I am relocating to a different state. With my schedule being hectic I still manage to dedicate time to my passion and that is this book.

I Thank You All so much for your countinuous support.

Please continue to read Trials, Tribulations, and Torn...I will keep you all informed of the process and steps that I am taking to have my book published. I hope that this will help someone out also. This will be the first place that I announce my book release too.

Ok....I have to go back to reading now.....

Lots of Love, Liz

Almost Done....

Whew....I finished the writing to my Novel "TORN". I wrote the very last word in the first draft at 11:21pm..November 5th 2009..On a Thursday. The feeling that came over me was a mix of so many emotions. Joy, Satisfaction, Pride, Excitement, and Fear. I knew that there were no more excuses about why I was dragging my feet because I had jumped my biggest personal hurdle. I know that actually getting it published will not be a piece of cake. But now that I have proven to myself that I do have the talent and discipline to write a Novel, I can put in the work to get it Published.

Right now I am in the process of doing a re-read in order to make any corrections, and add or subtract anything that doesn't tell the story the best. I really hope when you do read it that you see it as vividly as I did while I was writing it...

I want everyone to be on the look out for the books that I will be writing after TORN. In HER Words- this will pick up where TORN left off. Allowing HER story to be told. Then There will be Devine Intervention-This is also a deeper look into the character of Devine from TORN.

I truly believe and have faith that there is so much more for me on the horizon. I couldn't wait to bring my good news here to my blog to share it with all of you. I hope that you will all continue to support me because I so appreciate it.

Lots of Love Liz.

If Not For Grace...

Refreshed, Restored, and Refocused....That's How I am feeling after spending the weekend with my family in NYC. I needed the time away...so I could get my mind in a state where it was ready for all the upcoming plans that I have. Now that my book is all but finished I know that the hard work is truly coming. I am so proud that this part of my project it finished. There is something rewarding about what I have before me. That feeling alone is so worth it! I am going to be grinding hard because I know that nothing worth having just falls in your lap. The reward comes from knowing that you put forth the effort and there will be success for you. So the way I see it...I have already conquered this. I look to the future when it comes to my writing career. I have so many ideas that I pray I will be able to share with the world. Or at least those in the world that see things as I do, those who are willing to see things in a different light, and my supporters.

This upcoming book is not the only thing on the horizon for me.

I have a big move coming up. Most would consider this a bad time to be making such life changes but I know that I need change in my life all together. I need to purge the negativity and move on to the blessings that the Lord had laid in front of me all along...I was just too blind to see.

I think that some of us..or maybe just me, think that they are not worthy of happiness. So when happiness and fortune are within our reach we back away. Looking for something else, something that you feel is more up your alley. Backing away from that may not always mean doom. It will teach you a lesson, that is for sure. I was running in another direction because I was scared to take a hold to what was meant for me..... Going in that direction and trying to focus my attention where it wasn't meant caused some heartache and trouble, both for me and others I am sure. However it also made me smarter. It showed me that I don't have to seek out something else. Not when the real thing has always been there and has remained even when I faltered. This is the way it was always meant to be. This is what God has blessed me with and I will no longer keep fighting it. I will acccept it. I know he makes no mistakes...and thankfully for his Grace, he forgives us when we do.

Please read the blog from begining to the end. I hope in doing that You will gain a better understanding of me.

Lots of Love Liz.

I Can See Clearly Now....

Sometimes I wonder why are some people so consumed by their own reasoning that they can't hear anyone else's.
I have come to realize that I don't know it all. I don't know everything. I once thought this way when I was a child. Now that I am an adult, I know better. I know that there are many things that I will learn from others. There are points of views that I may not have thought about, therefore changing the way I feel. Or at least opening my eyes to see a picture at a different angle. These realizations have changed me for the better. It has allowed me to open myself up to many other possibilities. To be able to absorb knowledge from others...and I can only pray that they have learned something from me in the process as well.
I say all this to make one point. Don't get so hung up on your own words that the words and wisdom of others fail to move you. Take something from it. It may change you....make you realize that you were right all along...Or maybe help you see the picture more clearly.

Thank you for the support.

Lots of Love Liz....

I Am Able....

This is a time in my life where I am discovering new things about me and what I want and except.
I have discovered that my talent is writing and although it does need to be polished, this is what I will do. This is who I am. I have been writing this with the thought in the back of my mind that this may not become a reality. I know this is in part due to the people that should be my support system...They can be less then supportive. Don't get me wrong, I have the support and love of many people...even from strangers that share my passion for writing and expression. I know that I have to rebuke these thoughts. It's those doubts that will hinder me in my pursuit. So from this day forward, I will only speak of the great things that will happen. The successes I will achieve. The accomplishment that I will feel for going after what I want and need to be whole.
I am also becoming more and more aware that I can't except anything from anyone. I AM ABLE! Able to encourage myself, To lead my family, (until the man that GOD has created for me finds me and is in position to take the lead) To pursue my dream... and pick myself up when I fall.
This is definitely a learning process. I have learned of my strengths and my weaknesses. Things that I already knew existed. Some I have conquered and others I am working through. My strengths have increased and guided me.

I want to Thank everyone for the Love and, believe it or not, the Hate. I am growing because of it!

Please continue to read...

Lots of Love Liz.

Roses and Violets....

On my journey, I have befriended quite a few authors. Through many different outlets....On my facebook, at the library, and on my twitter. Some of them, I immediately felt a kinship to because I have read their words. Taken part in their journey. Some are promoting their upcoming projects. Along the way I built up soooo many books on my "to read list." I am so excited to experience all these new people and their talent.
However, there is something that I want to challenge myself with. WRITING A POEM.... I have always been a story teller. Those stories running through my mind...picking up from where they left off the day before. In my opinion, poetry is more of a romance of words. Whether you are discussing the ways of love or the ways of the world. Today I will try to romance the words and see what happens. YIKES!! This new challenge for me does make me think though. Is this the sign of a good author? That they can write in any style and succeed? Can they excel in poetry, journalism, and novels? Will I be able to do this and do it well? If I don't, what does that mean?
I really don't know...but what I am sure of is that I don't want to hold myself back from things that I want to do anymore because I'm scared of what the next person will think. That's why it took me so long to start this journey... to write this book. So worried that I would not be good enough. I know that poems are not all rhyming words and "Roses are red Violets are blue." So I will dive into this and Pray for the best. No matter what, I will have tried something new...Have completed another challenge to myself... I will be happy and will forever have the proof that I tried.
So when I have my POEM...all completed I will post it right here on "Trials, Tribulations, and Torn." I will also tell everyone where they can find it else where along with other amazing poets.

Until next time...

Lots of Love Liz

Resting on Faith...

I am almost at the end of my Journey...I will be completed with my very first novel in a matter of weeks. The pressure is really on now. There is so much that has to still be done and so much that I still don't know. What I'm resting on and putting all of my faith in is that I really poured my heart out into this book. That this is the beginning of what I hope will be my career. Or at least something that I will be doing for the rest of my days. Whether it be full time, part time or on the side. I hope that when this book is read everyone feels that. Feels that I loved writing it and I am so proud that someone decided to read it. That someone else is sharing this with me.

To give a brief review of what this book " TORN" is all about......

Leslie is a woman that is on her way to being successful...In her Career and In Love, but when life steps in and puts one obstacle in front of the other will she stay on the track to success? Can she survive the obstacles and the choices she makes and still be whole in the end? Who will she effect with her decisions? And will they stick around to see her through this mess she made?

There are Steamy Teases also available. Please read the blog from the beginning. Take a peek inside the real life drama that I have dealt with in writing this novel and get a taste of what "TORN" will deliver when released.

Thanks for all the Love.

Lots of Love Liz
